July 13th Demo Day

New for 2019, NCQMA will now host demo days!

  • Is your family interested in quarter midget racing, but wonder if this would be something that you will actually enjoy?
  • Do you have a child who thinks they might want to drive a quarter midget, but you aren’t sure if they’ll really like it?
  • Do you already think you’d like to start racing, but want to learn more about the club and how all this works before you jump in?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then our Demo Day is the perfect opportunity for you!

Our Demo Day will include interested families with up to 12 drivers who will participate in a 3 hour session from 9AM to 12PM. The cost for the session is $50 per child which may be paid via cash or check at the event. Children must be between the ages of 4.5 and 16. All mandatory safety equipment and quarter midget race cars will be provided by the track.

During the session, your child will receive guidance from track officials and veteran club members while they make test runs on the track. You will take a facility tour and learn about quarter midget racing, what happens during the race day, being an NCQMA club member, and much more. Our members and officials will be able to answer any questions you may have and provide information that will be invaluable to your family and driver as you start out in quarter midget racing.

Following the demo day session, our veteran members will take part in trophy races starting at 1PM so that demo day participants can get a taste of a real race day at NCQMA! Come spend an exciting and fun-filled day with our racing families and see what racing at NCQMA is all about!

You must pre-register for our Demo Day session. This allows us to keep the number of participants at a level where we can ensure that all families receive personalized attention during the session. Please include the age, height, and weight of your driver and any previous racing experience they may have when you pre-register. Walk ups will only be permitted on the day of the event if all reserved spots are not already filled.

About NCQMA — Completed in May 2004, Bobby Labonte and members of the North Carolina Quarter Midget Association initiated the building of the first (and only) quarter midget track in North Carolina. The mission of NCQMA is to provide and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy sport to be enjoyed by father, son, mother, and daughter in relationship with better sportsmanship. Finally, to impress the younger generation with the ideals of fairness, generosity, and sense of responsibility without envy to others.
