A controlled sample of fuel purchased the day of the race event will be used to test fuel throughout the day. All competitors should purchase 87 octane fuel. Anyone found using illegal fuel or fuel/oil additives will be disciplined according to the USAC rulebook. GX-120 Flywheel: Effective January 1, 2009 the Tier III flywheel (part # 31100-ZEO-020) is mandatory on all GX-120 engines. The magnet is black in color on the Tier III flywheel as opposed to white on the Tier II flywheel. GX-120 engines will no longer be legal using the QMA offset key.
